Job Responsibilities
As a Data Center Facility Manager, your primary duties will include:
- Overseeing Operations: Manage the overall operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems within the data center, ensuring availability and reliability that exceeds service level expectations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of engineering technicians working 24/7. Assign tasks, provide coaching, and create documentation for best practices.
- Project Management: Drive improvement projects from conception to completion, collaborating with various support teams.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage the operations budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Emergency Response: Serve as the on-call Facility Manager for after-hours issues, managing investigations and resolutions for any incidents.
- Communication: Convey complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Physical Tasks: Perform physical activities such as lifting, moving objects, and navigating different terrains safely.
- Accessibility Support: Promote an inclusive work environment that caters to diverse employee needs.

Qualifications
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data center operations, including transformers, generators, UPS systems, chillers, and more.
Proven ability in people management and tea m development.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on understanding broader contexts.
Experience maintaining SLAs through proactive issue detection.
