    Fully Funded Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program

    The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program brings accomplished mid-career professionals with demonstrated leadership potential to the United States for a year of graduate-level non-degree academic coursework and professional development activities.

    Fully Funded Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program

    The program duration is ten months and includes academic coursework and an internship in a relevant professional organization. It aims to provide future leaders and policymakers with experience in U.S. society, culture, and professional fields, fostering lasting ties between Americans and international counterparts.

    Approximately 18 campuses have been selected through a competitive process to host fellows based on thematic and subject affinities, institutional resources, and support for academic and administrative needs. Faculty advisers assist fellows in developing balanced academic and professional programs. Participants are required to return to Pakistan after completing the program.

    Funding

    • The grant covers tuition, airfare, textbooks, a living stipend, and health insurance.

    Eligibility for The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program 

    • Applicants must be Pakistani citizens with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional/work experience.
    • You must have 16 years of education (either a 4-year bachelor’s degree or a 2-year bachelor’s and a master’s degree) and a guarantee of re-employment upon return to Pakistan.
    • Successful applicants must demonstrate a commitment to serving Pakistan.
    • You must possess a high level of fluency in spoken and written English.
    • Successful candidates should be ready to assume leadership positions in their field.

    What makes you ineligible

    • Applications will not be accepted from university teachers or researchers without management experience or similar responsibilities.
    • Those who attended graduate school in the U.S. within the last seven years or who have had long-term U.S. experience within the last five years are ineligible.
    • Individuals with dual U.S./Pakistan nationality or with close family ties to U.S. citizens/residents are also ineligible.
    • Employees of the Fulbright organization or the U.S. Department of State are ineligible.

    The Humphrey Program (which lasts for 10-12 months) was established to honor the memory and achievements of the late Senator and Vice-President, Hubert H. Humphrey. Each Fellow will be accepted based on their potential for leadership and commitment to public service in the public or private sector.

    Application Requirements for the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program 

    Below are the requirements for the Hubert H. Humphery Fellowship Program:

    • The application deadline is April 24, 2024.
    • Only online applications are accepted; no paper applications will be considered.
    • Proof of English proficiency is required for all applicants. You must submit a Duolingo Test Score Report with the application form. However, if you have a valid iBT TOEFL or IELTS test score, you should upload the relevant score report and do not need to take the Duolingo test.
