    Company Hiring: Cargill Animal Nutrition and Health Division

    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Type: Full Time

    Schedule: Overtime, Weekends as needed, Holidays

    Location: Milton, WI

    Wage: $30 an hour

    This role is in Cargill’s animal nutrition and health division, which works to enhance animal lives via improved nutrition. Their group conducts research, develops new ideas, and produces solutions that give their clients positive, healthful outcomes.

    Under regular supervision, the maintenance technician will solve fundamental electrical problems on manufacturing equipment or plants in accordance with policies and procedures. As you carry out preventative maintenance plans, you will make sure that all electrical assets are kept in a safe condition

    Requirements

    • Able to work in the US without a sponsor or a visa
    • Ability to execute physical job duties, such as bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodations, and being at least 18 years old
    • The ability to employ personal protective equipment (PPE), such as a respirator, to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor situations, such as heat, cold, dust, loud noises, etc.
    • Capacity to operate at heights of four feet or more
    • Ability to comprehend and interact in written and spoken English
    • Capacity to operate in cramped areas
    • Fundamental computing abilities
    • Capacity to work extra hours, including on weekends, holidays, or during other shifts with prior notice
    • Experience with Basic Industrial Maintenance

    Major Responsibilities

    • Completing the facility’s predictive, reactive, and preventative industrial maintenance
    • Operating common maintenance equipment, including electric tools, power tools, basic hand tools, precision tools, preventative maintenance technologies, etc.
    • Use and work with maintenance components and trades, including electrical, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, and
    • Reading and understanding electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and/or operation manuals to modify or construct equipment
    • Operating maintenance computer software as needed, recording finished work and the conditions discovered
    • Regularly communicating with coworkers and management to encourage a collaborative atmosphere and seek ongoing facility operational improvement
    • Using loaders, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, and forklifts
    • Being aware of and following all safety regulations and guidelines
    • Keeping the workplace tidy and secure
    • Additional tasks as delegated
